First week

It's been a crazy week. Working the first week rush at the textbook store and starting at my internship at WB Animation. But, I'm almost done with my 46 hours work week. I'm at work right now, but after 4pm I'm free. And hopefully there will be some rain for me to see. It could be raining now, but being stuck in the basement store, I can't tell.  ( Read more... )

Your internship sounds really interesting and fun, cranky copiers and all. Yay!

It's is interesting and I spent pretty all day today photocopying stuff to be shipped overseas. Now I see why they really needed someone to work Mondays. :)

This all sounds so fascinating. How long does it take to do one show? What are the different steps to put one out? How many animators do they have? It must be interesting to see how it all comes together.

I have no clue how long it takes for a show to get finished. All I know is the first episode is apparently all done. But I don't know when they started that one. And there aren't any animators around. In TV all animation is done overseas, Korea is a big source. So they do all the storyboards, character designs, backgrounds, prop designs here and ship that all overseas for that studio to then do the animation. Then it comes back here to be edited and other post production stuff. :) It's very interesting to see how it all goes together. Towards the end I'll have a better idea how long things take. :)

*grins* Yeah, sounds like the first settling-in week... i hate starting new jobs, always have three heads and five thumbs first few days! You look around - when you have chance - and think 'in a year's time, all of this will be SO familiar' and that's oddly comforting.
i know you will be so good and brilliant, petal, and that wishing you luck is kinda supurfluous, but knock 'em dead!

Thanks. And things are already getting settled. Although I got all flustered trying to walk back onto the lot rather than drive on, but now I know how that process works. :)
