Just got back from seeing the Star Trek film. I won't go into much because I'm tired. I liked it. I'm more of a Next Generation and DS9 girl, so I may have missed some inside things pertaining to the original series. But through the films I'm familiar enough with the original characters to get some of the neat (homages might be the right word) that

Oooo...I want to see it! :o) I used to sneak up at night when my mom was out with friends to watch original Star Trek with my dad. Like you, I prefer TNG but really wanna see what JJ Abrams does with the original series! Was Leonard Nemoy's part good?

His part was good and small so he didn't take over the film and he did the "live long and prosper" line which caused the audience to either giggle or clap yay Spock. It was fun. And I think JJ Abrams recreated the series in a good way. And the film had a good amount of humor which I think was always present in the series. It was a drama with a good dose of humor.

Okay...now I really want to see it! :o) The humor-drama balance is always good!

I wanna see it so bad. I've been working every night since it premiered and I fly to Alabama tomorrow. Dad's having a tough time, so I don't know if I will be able to see it or not. *cries*

We're seeing it at the Imax tomorrow to celebrate Mother's Day. All reviews have been awesome so I'm looking forward to it.
