Importance of Being Earnest the last time for real
Okay. This is the last mini-report about the play I swear. Well since it was the last day of the play I guess it does have to be the last report. :)
I had apparently just missed James as he came in when I arrived. girlfmkitty informed me of that after giving her a hello hug and she told me that James said that he would come out after the play. I ran into mad_brilliant_ on the walk from the parking lot so we sat down to wait for the doors to open.
Greenlady ended up sitting next to me in the theater so it was nice to get to talk a bit with her. And the regular patrons that sat next to us were very friendly people. A group of them next to us had all bonded while seeing the different plays over the years. It was just like the fandom. :) They had asked how we were enjoying the play and I told them I had asked to sign up to their mailing list as they assemble a fantastic cast. I can't wait to see what plays they perform next season. I wish I had known of this group before.
The performance was wonderful as before, although I still think Friday night's performance was my favorite in terms of the entire cast being spot on. After the show we all sat down at the tables and waited. It was a bit of a wait as the cast was having an after party for the last night. James came out and started talking to everyone. He kind of just started going down the line hugging and talking to everyone. Taking photos as well. I was to take a photo of girlfmkitty with her camera which I did, and I hope it turned out well. And then James turned to me and pulled me into a hug. While in the hug I told him it was a fantastic run, and he was all unsure of himself, mentioning that he was barely hanging on at times, but he thinks he got right. He did make the comment to someone else before me that this was the best cast he had worked with in I think he said 15 years. I was too slow to ask for a photo but I caught him towards the end after asking mad_brilliant_ if she would take my picture. As he was getting close to mad_brilliant_ I took her camera to get a photo of her with James, which I think looked cute in the view finder. Hopefully it's actually sharp. And he continued on to everyone there. Towards the end I asked for a quick photo, and he pulled me into a second hug going off course I missed you before. Apparently I am quite forgettable since he hugged and spoke to me not 10 minutes before. Oh well, I'm not complaining over the two hugs. Unless he meant he missed getting a photo with me, but I doubt that. :)
As we were leaving one of the security guards was mentioning to us how impressed he was with James. He said that while they try to create an comfortable atmosphere for the actors, most of the big name actors will take off very quick, but that James seemed to truly enjoy the chance to meet the fans.
Well that was it. It was wonderful to see everyone over the last five days. I'd list everyone but I know I will forget someone. Hopefully I will see some of you again at Dragon Con. I know I'll see a few at Comic Con. Till then take care.
Now just have to wait until they release the audio. :)
