I ended up going to the dance with Rikku. I went as a knight and she was a princess... and somehow she dragged me into dancing with her. Still, it was a lot of fun, and not even Axel butted in. Probably 'cause he didn't recognise me.
Well, she told me. I should've maybe noticed by now, but she came out and told me... I don't know what to say.

Oh, I almost forgot! A girl called Sakura's living at my house now. She doesn't have anywhere to go, so I offered her to come and stay. I don't know how long she'll be here, but at least it's less lonely than living alone.
