Los Angeles: Deli on Wilshire

Jun 14, 2006 10:22

It's a Sunny day in California and for once the smog isn't around to make it all hazy.

Marty sits with Angela eating their carb-free/flavor-free lunches and trying to avoid any conversation about what happened yesterday at the Hyperion. Occasionally they will poke each other when someone resembling a star enters the restaurant.

vacation, angela

Angela glanced out the window. "Think that's Carmen Electra?" she asked, pointing to a tall brunette.

"Not sure," Marty said trying to peer around the window. "It's hard to tell when they're dressed normally. If she had half her body spilling out of a dress that's practically painted on I'd probably be able to tell you."

Angela made a face. "So you look at girls like her?"

Insecure? Angela? Just a little.

"No. That's just the only way I'd be able to recognize her," Marty said with a grin. "I prefer a girl who doesn't dress up in trashy clothing for a living."

"A vampire who can't see or walk is still dangerous, but should be easier to get away from."

"Right," Angela said, digesting this.

She scrunched up her face. "You talked to him more than I did. Do you think he's, like,a threat?"

Marty sighed. "I don't know. He seems to think so."

Marty leaned back on his chair. "Not exactly the vacation we'd thought it be in LA, huh?"

Angela blinked. "Eh. We were bored, back in the normal world. Besides, this is a nice reminder of what Fandom's like."

She reached out to take his hand. "We have a few hours before we need to be back at the hotel. Want to go to Santa Monica and look at the ocean, or something?"

Marty gave her a small smile and squeezed her hand. "Yeah, I know. I guess I actually was enjoying the boredom for a while. C'mon. Santa Monica sounds like a great idea."
