But seriously, I don't hate the book. I just didn't enjoy it, and because everyone else loves it I think I exaggerate my feelings into something worse than they really are. It's not as bad as 'The Lovely Bones', which everyone also told me to read and I thought was a truly terrible book.

I don't think I've ever read anything by Margaret Atwood, though I do notice her novels in bookshops all the time. I'm getting back into reading at the moment, so I might check her out.
