Ugh, Shonda. I HATE YOU. And "give Mer a shiny pony, then kick her in the face" is not a sane way to treat the main female character of your show. SIX EFFIN' YEARS.

My rage was just like this last year... when they got "married." FUUUUUUUUU, SHONDA!

Apparently I just read over in the Mer/Der comm this big interview with Shonda and the whole damn episode was about Meredith and her miscarriage. Ok, makes no damn sense but that's what Shonda says. I thought it was suspenseful and blew me away but I have been hanging on by a thread for months.
