LIGHTNING BOLT!!!!

I was talking to a really hairy guy at a show last week, and he told me that when he met his latest girlfriend, she had a black eye from going to a Lightning Bolt show. That's when he knew she was the lady for him.

Lightning Bolt was made for love.

Which album do you enjoy the most?

And isn't it 'Okkervil River'?

Mike, you already know what I think of the mostly good choices on this list (excluding Silver Jews. In what universe does "Haven't you heard the news/Adam and Eve were Jews/And I always loved you to the max" make someone a lyrical genius?"). In rebuttal, my Top 10. Feel free to diss- especially the Bright Eyes. I swear I haven't gone emo.

1. Okay- Low Road/High Road
2. Antony and the Johnsons- I Am A Bird Now
3. Sufjan Stevens- Illinois
4. The National- Alligator
5. Jamie Lidell- Multiply
6. Bright Eyes- I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning
7. The Dirty Projectors- The Getty Address
8. Bloc Party- Silent Alarm
9. New Pornographers- Twin Cinema
10. David Thomas Broughton- The Complete Guide to Insufficiency (I know, I signed him, but I really do love this album!)
