worst tagline ever

Wow, Yahoo! mail--

"Now you can scream through email."

really, not as appealing as you might think.

in other news, I'm really ready to not be sick anymore. despite having stayed home monday and tuesday, wednesday at work was enough to make it seem like a long week already.

and BSG is officially crack.

I'm totally jonesing for a nice chunk of "Battlestar" rock. I didn't get to see the season premiere and I'm going to have to miss this week's episode. A friend of mine taped the one and said he will also do the next, but trying to get our schedules in sync to watch them has proven to be a nightmare so far. I'm shaking and having cold sweats. I need relief soon.

so, I noticed the other day that you are reading Gen 13. I don't know if you keep the comics around after you're done, but I was wondering...

I have 3 #1s from Gen 13. The first #1, another #1 where they gave a bunch of backstory, and #1 of the ordinary heros storyline. Would you be interested in giving them a good home?

Ooh. I need to nag Brad to talk to our dealer about getting hits of bsg.

A number of people I know work at Yahoo (or used to and quit). Y! is horrible at naming things and propaganda. Their search marketing group (i.e. the ads that show up on the pages) is currently working on a project called Panama. It's a total disaster. Of course this brings to mind images of the canal. Great idea: name the project after something that took years, had to be bailed out by a country other than the one that started it, and resulted in thousands of worker deaths.

Meanwhile, perhaps to increase worker morale, they've started hanging up these movie posters substituting Panama in for key words. I can't remember any of the examples off the top of my head. But many of them evoke a "wtf? how could that possibly be interpretted positively?" reaction. The place is comedy gold (well except for the fact that their BS results in B. being stressed out and having to fight to not get stuck working weekends too).
