well, "the books" recommend avoiding introducing peanuts until 3 yrs old, to try to avoid triggering that allergy. and while they may be right and they may be wrong, she did seem to react to something we fed her last night, and the peanuts are by far the likeliest suspect. her reaction wasn't too bad, just mostly seemed to make her uncomfortable, probably made breathing a bit harder but didn't seem too bad. she seemed safe enough last night to put her to bed. but given her reaction to the antibiotics, N's reaction to fish/trees, and N and my regular combined allergies, staying away from peanuts seems the wisest choice.

Hee! I remember when my niece Destiny was about 5 months old, and her mom was trying to teach her to give kisses on command. So at Thanksgiving dinner she told everyone she'd succeded and said "Here Des! Give Mommie kisses!" And Des tiny smiled, and started gumming her chin instead. It was SOOOO adorable. :-)

She was awfully darn cute at last month's WisCon meeting, I must say, though she wasn't terribly talkative amidst a bunch of strangers. Kisses! Kisses are good, and fun, and even cuter...
