Got to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl earlier today with some friends for a little while. I find it amusing that my best characters always handle in a completely different fashion from each other (fast vs. obsenely slow, no jump vs. ability to fly, freaking huge vs. very tiny, etc ( Read more... )

I've always played as link, but in Brawl, he feels weird to me. I'm pretty sure that he's not that different from Melee, but I just don't feel comfortable playing with him anymore. Toon Link, on the other hand, is a different story.
I can't play as metaknight, every time i do, I end up tornadoing myself off the edge, which prevents me from using a recovery move, so i die.
I think Zelda and Snake are my two favorite characters, with Ike close behind.

I freaking own as Meta Knight. The combination of his downward slice, spiral drill, and upward insta-kill makes for a perfect combo for me. I got first place with him, and with ROB. ¬.¬

I think I'm pretty good at handling Pokémon Trainer, too. Each monster handles incredibly differently, but I'm actually quite good with all of them. Though sometimes I forget and try to do a ground-pound like Bowser's when I'm using Charizard and then suddenly I'm a tiny turtle. But then I spin-shell across the stage and surf my way into people. :D

Pit is totally broken in free for all stock games. He's just so good at running away that it's easy to wait for everyone else to kill each other, since you derive no actual benefit from fighting people in free for all stock until it's down to just one on one.

Yeah, I've noticed that. :/

One of my friends at school always does that during matches and I find it really irritating. My solution is to focus solely on him until he's dead, and that seems to work pretty well.
