Aw, thank you so much! I hope you got my comment from over on A03, I apologize for the late reply. I work for a veterinary hospital and last week we opened our new hospital. So between moving, unpacking and dealing with clients and patients last week, I was pretty brain-dead.

I had a hard time deciding which story to remix, and actually started a few others, but this was the first one I got a 'bite' on and decided to just go with my gut. I loved revisiting Season 1, and will probably do a complete rewatch of seasons 1-6 this summer.

And you work for a vet? Cool, me too! I've been a tech for 27 years, 25 of them in the same hospital. How exciting that you've got a new facility to work in!

Heh! That's really funny about us both working for vets. I work for a 24 hour specialty/emergency hospital and we moved from a 5,100 sq foot facility to a 33,000 sq foot facility. I'm a reception supervisor, so I spend more time dealing with clients then with the pets.

I used to work nights (4pm-2am), and I'm finally on days (9am-7pm) so I'm still trying to get acclimated to the time change. (Go to sleep at 11 pm? It's the middle of the day for me!)

Honestly, when I first say that episode and John said this I thought Dean-o was going to throw a punch. Insulting his relationship with the Impala seems like it would be on par with insulting the memory of Mary Winchester; you just don't fuck around with the image of the women that Dean loves.
