Something The Music Industry Doesn't Understand

I've read articles on illegal music downloading off and on. Some say it's bad, some say it's "freedom," others just study it. One thing is clear to me, though. And what about concerts and merch? I'd never have owned so many band shirts in the past nor would I continue to go to so many shows and festivals if I didn't have the Internet to not only provide me with music, but alert me based on my music plays of shows I might be interested in.

I think the musicians themselves are leading the way in that area. They're bringing the record companies along, but they have to drag them kicking and screaming.

Fortunately, rock & roll is particularly good at kicking & screaming.
