Bruder, welcome back from the dead! <3 Also, meet Gilbert. Isn't he cute?

The Nationalist Socialist Empire of Greater Germany felt quite content. Of course, being lord and master of half the world was the sort of fate that left one feeling content much of the time, but just now he was particularly relaxed. He was starting to settle into the strange but oddly idyllic cadences of HQ, the mysterious mechanism of the place ( Read more... )

[I might go back to sleep again. Just saying as precaution.]

Perhaps the situation could have been avoided if Gilbert didn't considering himself "too awesome to knock". That was probably one of the few times he hadn't knocked on the door to his brother's office or otherwise personal space, instead being very happy to find the door unlocked and violently flinging it open, grinning like the maniac he was.

"Mein Oberherr--" His noise was interrupted by what he saw, blue eyes blinking several times as if to register it all. "Bru. . .der?"

Of course, his immediate thought was quietly stated under his breath, quiet enough his younger brother could not hear. "Was zur Hölle."

Mmn~♥" Content was the perfect way to describe Gilbert right now; curled up in the most comfortable bed he'd slept in in ages with a reassuring, friendly warmth pressed up against him, the Vox pet was quite innocently complacent. The heat had lulled his mind into an immensely relaxed state and the albino yawned, stretching his limbs out a bit before drawing them back in again, and rolling over so as to snuggle into Ludwig's chest. He'd be happy to lie here forever, really.

But that appeared not to be, for only a few moments later and Gilbert heard the door slam open. He'd look, inspect the intruder, maybe even growl at him, but the heat of his master was too distracting, and he didn't want to move. So he stayed still, wrapping both arms tight about the larger man's neck, silently willing him not to move even though he was sure he was going to anyway.

((ooc: Ohai, I'm barely awake but I couldn't resist replying so excuse the horrible writing AND HEY I replied to the wrong part at first ahem))

Don't worry about it, love. I've been mostly MIA thanks to HW for the last few days anyway. oberherrschaft April 1 2010, 15:07:35 UTC
At the sound of Prussia's voice, Germany quickly sat up, his hair mussed from dozing, still hugging Gilbert to his side and using his strength to maneuver them both easily. The sheets slipped down, revealing the plain black wife-beater and boxers he usually wore to bed.

He gazed at Prussia, breaking into a broad, bright smile.

"Prussia! You're back! This is Gilbert, he's human. Gil, this is Prussia." A beat later he added, "What am I doing, you must be starving. Gilbert, why don't you run down to the kitchen and make Prussia something to eat while he and I get reacquainted?"

He nuzzled Gilbert's cheek briefly before nudging him out of the bed.

Gilbert probably would have been slightly amazed at the feat if he weren't. . .well, staring in utter confusion. Okay, perhaps he was staring for other reasons by the time the sheets had slid from his brother. And, of course, when he started smiling, something he was sure he would never, ever get used to.

Even so he smiled back a bit. He managed to keep the smile up through his brother's explanation, although it was hard not to glare at the clingy creature human. He nodded, both in understanding of what he said and to the fact that he was rather hungry--as much as he wanted to deny it Bruder didn't like when he lied, after all ( ... )
