Can anyone tell me if a particular room in Noah is a single? Ehrai told me it was, the college billed me for a single, but the (admittedly 4 year old) floor plan says it is a double. Who do I trust? Who to believe?

It's on the third floor and is between 316 and 314.

thank you.

Noah completely changed after the renovations in summer '08, so an old floor plan won't help you. If Ehrai says it's a single, it's a single.

What that person said. Beware that the location might be completely different from the floorplan, too - I think they fucked around with the numbering after the reno, too.

Totally renovated the lounges, if I'm remembering correctly! :(

Yes, elevator.

NOOOOO NOT THE LOUNGES, WHAT DID THEY DO TO THE WOOD

(we made smores in the lounge fireplace at a hall meeting in '97. i remember the RA joking about how the whole place could go up in flames, all that oak paneling and everything. yes, i said 97. now i feel as old as you're thinking i am.)

also, it's *between* 316 and 314? so it's, like, a broom closet?

as far as those plans go, they are always wrong for a couple of rooms. most likely, it used to be a double that they are using as a single. you will still have to pay the single price, your room may just be extra large.

They renumbered everything so it's most definitely not a broom closet in the traditional sense. However, because of the renovations, they did make rooms that seemed like singles into doubles (or at least that's what it seemed last year)... which means cramped quarters and limited ways to set up your room (i.e. a requirement to loft your bed or else not everything would fit, not all rooms have closets but rather have wardrobe-type things).

My guess is you have a room that used to be a double that is now a single, but it is probably still small.

At least the basement isn't sketchy as hell anymore.

i'm expecting pretty cramped quarters, from my knowledge of what singles were like in East. i hope i have a closet, but i've certainly lived without one before!

thanks everyone for the comments. and the deal with the numbering is that was my "clever" way of not actually saying the room number ;)
