I intend no disrespect by the subject of this post. I read the article this morning on Yahoo! and I'm crushed. Mr. Reeve's Superman was the first non-familial rolemodel I had. When news of his accident was first reported, I remember posting on fido.net about how this wasn't just a man that was injured, but Superman. For my generation, he was

I, too found myself shocked upon hearing this. Even though confined to a wheelchair, Mr. Reeve was still Superman to me. When he vowed that he would one day walk again, I had no doubt of it.

I'm still having trouble accepting this. :(
