...I almost died twice, had my house struck by lightning, and may have lost all valuable information on my computer along with the destruction of two televisions, one VCR, one VCR/DVD combo, a fax machine, several telephones, and two cable boxes. The interruption in my normal routine has me irked and a bit blue, but at least I've gotten back into

I'm right there with you. I'm still finding more and more of my electronics that are fried that I missed the first time around. However, it sounds like you REALLY got hit hard!

Sorry to hear that all of that is dead. :( Is anything covered by insurance at all?

I almost shared your pain, but managed to *YANK* out the power cable in time during last nights incredible lightning storms. The sky was thick with the stuff and every device was sizzling static... fun stuff! ;)
