My DVD collection and wish list

I have the sneaking suspicion I'm forgetting quite a few on the wish list...

I'm a huge fan of instrumental film scores. That shouldn't come as a shock to anyone who reads this journal. Lately, I've taken to exploring new composers. Well, perhaps "new" isn't the right word. And the gouging of Star Wars fans continues. It seems Sony Classical has re-re-remastered the scores for the original trilogy and packaged them with posters and never before seen images (of the Japanese New Jedi Order novel cover art--like we can't get that at www.theforce.net or countless other places). Nope, my LJ is not haunted. That's how Baby Jake sings Rufus Wainwright's Hallejujah or as he knows it Shrek. Other standards in his repertoire include Frosty the Snowman ("Frossy snowMAN! Merry merry snow"), The Alphabet Song, and Jingle Bells. I'll try to get audio (and video), but it won't be easy.

...to be turned off from someone because of their voice? There's a girl here at work who is stunning: tall, brunette, athetlic build, with a smile that Stevie Wonder could see. But she sounds like Kathy Ireland before her "acting" career and after a helium binge.

EDIT: Because I chose the wrong word, but still fell victim to it.
