Social vacation!

I took Tuesday and Wednesday night off from afterwork rides or other socialization (although work was quite social) and it really recharged me. Last night at K's, even though I was tired from not eating enough (or sleeping enough, watching Apollo 13 on Wed night had me all wired way too late!) I was in such a good mood hanging out. I have a book of rides in the Cooperstown area. Dr. Savoie, the author, sent me one just for asking I had to force him to take payment. I have not yet been there.

My friend Howard the guy who wrote a bunch of the "Short Bike Rides in" books went out last year to ride and had a great time.

We want to get out for the cross race at the brewery. Let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

Bruce

That is the greatest book - Cooperstown is probably the nicest place I know for road-biking! We did a long weekend of riding a few years ago - beautiful routes, smooth roads, and zero traffic! Alas, my husband can't currently road bike (complications from back injury) but mtn biking with its upright and constantly-moving positions will work.

You should definitely go. Do you know when the cross race this year? Our schedule is always tied up with the Big E, but I'd love to make it there.

The race is the last day of the Big E Oct. 4.

My wife used to work MA day at the Big E with Medieval Manor. Kinda neat. Last time we went up it was just sweaty and scary.

It si a big fall for us. If we can get out there we will.

Be well.

Dang, that's the weekend we work the Big E - my husband and I are on the Farmers Markets board and we work a weekend each year. It is hard work but I love the Big E! Totally puts a crimp in the cross season, but what can ya do?
