Tuesday was groundhog day, but the bigger sign of seasonal change happened a little later - on my way to work, I heard drumming! (not a drum circle, though I suppose that would REALLY be a sign of spring) Two little Downy Woodpeckers were doing their drumming display...so clearly they are getting ready for spring! Khoury's has been around for 15 years now? That's amazing. That moment of silence was cool. When I've gone sky-diving, my favorite parts have been after the chute's opened and you pull down on the handles to apply the 'brakes' when a smaller flap flares out. Then it's just drifting down in silence with the world spread out below. I loved that. I've only ever jumped tandem so I made the instructor pull the brakes over and over again, trying to stay up there as long as possible.
