So it started with looking at the Iceland lonely planet that I'd picked up from the library - I usually check the date on these things, but forgot. Turns out it's from 1997. Also a vole (cuuuuuute), red squirrels, crazy chipmunks, singing wood thrushes (already!), an Ovenbird (or Veery, still need to doublecheck), and lots of newts!

This whole past week has involved lots of lifting, shoveling, pulling, and other up-and-down motions. I had a new idea for a bizarre bike race of the Pie Race ilk. This would be an office chair chariot race. Probably a running track would make the most sense for it. If I feel like going for a ride after work, I will do just about anything to avoid stopping at home for any reason. This is silly on many levels - we were very patient to find a house that is on the way to things. If you are on the bike path, we are maybe a 3 minute ride up the hill from the path to home.
