You're purged!

I say put in the extra 200 and get a digital SLR, although that does sound like a nice deal.

Nikon D70 or canon eos rebel, which is its competition; olympus' E-10 slr is also good.

dig the shins! and the camera.

i feel ya on the letter, though for now i'm closer than not to that stoic ideal of apathy. here's to hoping we can both take a plymouth to plymouth come next year!

most importantly, you should not be eager to impress. got any more songs learned/that you want to do?

i'm thinking we should visit the corporation fish market, but then we might change our minds and madden the proletariat.

I found the same camera that was in the link at B&H for around $60 less. Go here... (this is where I ordered all of my supplies from for my photo class this semester)

thanks for the tip, but i think the ebay deal is still a bit better, considering that it includes a 1 gb cf card, too.

she took on an intern. mr. hatten in an ex-usaf guy from miami via spain and he's been our student teacher (our only teacher) for the past few months. his internship is up with the calendar, so ms. haun will be released from her busy, important duties as ib coordinator to teach us again

That sony does look good. 7.2 Mpx is great, and 4x zoom is good enough for most purposes. I ought to shop around EBAY.

Oh man! that's a really good deal...considering all the extras!
The camera itself is great, I've never used digital zoom and I recommend you don't, it makes photos come out really pixel-y.

What camera do you have now?

A little teaser...
Congratulations! You have been accepted into.............! =P

Oh, I have a Nikon SLR myself and I love it. You can manipulate the light/image so much more, but nothing you can't do on Photoshop these days. Digital is ze future!

i agree on digital zoom, it's not really zooming in it's just making the picture smaller, and it's annoying that cameras do it. right now i have a sony dsc-w5, a rather high end point and shoot. in truth it's probably adequate, but if i'm gonna invest in a new camera anyways this one seems like more fun. i don't really think i have the experience to fully appreciate all the controls of an slr (i've been shooting with my 35mm one this week, though). the v3 is most attractive because it has a little bit more automation (and therefore security against inexperience) than an slr, while still having all the fun of detachable lenses, etc. i guess this paragraph just proves my insecurity in the choice.

also, i don't really like excessive photoshopping since i think it changes the image too much. just an opinion. thanks for the advice.
