Congratulations! How long did it take you to get everything going? And, if you don't mind, roughly how much did it cost to have everything operational? Having your own business is a huge step - it's great that you took it. If the website is any indication, I'd say you're going to be damn successful.

well, you could kind of say that it took 4 years. but basically, it's been the last 2 months. we had to haul an absurd amount of shit out of the basement before we even got started. then we have renovation. then cabling (which is actually one of the hardest parts of setting up a studio).

in terms of cost, i'd say with all the mics, computer/software, cables, instruments, outboard processing, and furniture we must be in the $15k range. maybe more.

hopefully we'll be able to rent a space in an office park in the suburbs once we start making some money. because even though we have a relatively nice basement studio, we still have a BASEMENT studio.

and we're probably going to buy one of these
