Happy New Year!

Nya~ Time has gone by so quickly. Why it was'nt long ago i was talking about new years resolutions, discovered that theoretically summer was the best time for new starts, supplying a healthy dose of sunshine possitivity.

Well i learnt one thing. Summer time is a lazy time, it passes by so quickly, and you never get anything done. Especialy when you just leave school, or education. Remember all those school summer holidays filled with sloathism and occasional whining.

2009 was a year i believed would define me and others. It had so much promise. From the very begging it felt strange, and its let a lot of people i know down. Rewarded others, but ultimately taken a little peice away from all of us.

So what does 2010 hold for us?! and how are we going to refer to this next coming decade. the 20-10 or the 10s or the plain old 2000 & 10. I cant wait till we reach the 30s, it'll be like going back in time. Should we reach them.

The new year has brough an abundance of promise! My mother saw UFO's , santa brough two gorgeous puppies, oh hi misha (misha just jumped on the bed to reach my chair, leaned on my shoulder, and kissed me) =3 she has such a loving character, and a very boisterous, fighting, and protective nature. Shes a bit of all loyal sorts personality wise. Boris is a bit of a moody teenager but has the most gorgeous puppy eyes, and is a great comic relief at times. Theyre both so cuddlesome, especialy Bozo (as dad just called him!) hes quite the dense n chubby fellow compaired to his sister (Misha, Meesh, Mimi).

Anyway where was i?!
New year promise... (Now Boris is here doing the same thing, only this time i got a kiss, a scratch, and a bite on the chin. Tough love... XD) ....... Though the year ended with a very sad funeral indeed ( Rip cousin Kirsty, 20 years old, i didnt know her well but most of my memories are of when we were toddlers as i was babysitted a few times by her mother. An unfortunate way to go, i hope the perpetrators get the punishment they deserve)... But it was a lovely snow covered funeral, beautiful in the procession of black against the cold winters frost. A lovely red breasted robin silently perched and watched from a nearby cross.

It did however get the distant family back together, and i got talking to a cousin i've never known. We have a lot in common :) the college we went to, the courses, and career interests, the xbox 360 ^ ^ haha. Hes even invited me round to hang out and play games sometime :) i've been so excited about it, meeting someone new with whom i can talk to, whose nearby and actually wants to spend time with me!

This will be excelent for family relations, im terrible at keeping in touch with family as is, and when im older i fear i will be alone and without family bonds, like much of this generation i think. Its up to us to form the bonds that will keep family and history alive. His family invited my family out for christmas eve celebrations, which was far more interesting than sitting at home alone watching crummy fireworks with mum and dad and complaining about the year and christmas, and how its all so overhyped.

You have to give yourself a reason to be hyped, life is what you make it, thats the same with christmas and the new year. If its not doing something for you, then MAKE it something thats specialy to you once a year. Make your own end of year traditions! Different to the rest of the year! and an actuall benefit to your life.

We never go out, and i was excited to be in the company of people that i didnt have to feel nervous about, that i could trust, and who were there for each other. I was also happy to just get some fresh air and be in a new environment. This could be the start of something wonderful, a new tradition, perhaps they will invite us out again sometime in the year.

So a happylist now!

  • I've been kicking it old school using CDS and my personal walkman cd player ( oh remember when it was cool to have a WHOLE cd player in your blazers hidden pockets at school ) p.s my mp3 player is broken still and its getting worse! BUT CD'S ARE awsome! ( i didnt have them on my mp3 player anyway! XD and i've been buying video game soundtracks. its just awsome to own them! :) )
  • Last night i read an awe inspiring, brain turning, society questioning, historically educating, debateable, genre breaking conundruming, ultimately evil genius plot inspiring game design Blogage! - i am floored with excitment over actually using my brain.
  • Cousin lewis comes back in a week or so
  • Im plotting to invade my local friends humble homes
  • Bayonetta arrived today!
  • SNOW!!!!!!!!!!! LOTS OF SNOW!!!!!!!
  • AND I'VE BAKED CAKE!!!! (ginger cake! nice with a cuppa coffee :3 im on a cake baking spree)
Im so excited i could be foaming at the mouth
*garggle*

p.s Reminicing over Foundation Art Ghostbusters moment annaunced by Moi, is always giggle inducing.
p.s Games design is the architecture of a reality! In so many ways. ( im glaring at all you jrpg fans shaking my head - no what ur thinking is not what i meant, at all. OPEN YOUR MINDS!  - weve all been brainwashed by anime )

On another note, i just realised something evil and briliant.

This is going to sound like some sort of violation of the laws of art to some people. But after maturing somewhat in the viewing of art and reference, and the boundaries that were obliterated on Foundation art. Let all percieved rules, dissolve. There are no rules in art. Only one. Copyright Infringement.
All that matters is the product, and artistic view. The outcome defines the means.

This may sound silly and time consuming, but brilliant. Im going to use photos of myself, friends, and family to find faces of reference - not just ref - but find faces that fit a pose or a look, and finish old artworks based and traces upon those. Find them, trace them, trace them intill youve learnt something over and over, sketch the out, finish the peice.

Take references and un finished images, scan/print, edit them, almost complete them, scan them, down size them, print them, project them, Enlarge them,Paint over them!, Complete them! Be a real artist.

Sell them/framethem/keepthem.
i could this with reference images - learning how to recreate that element of intrigue, line art, favourite artworks recreated by myself - teaching myself something in the process of getting into the mind of the artist, images from magazines, photos, print outs.

Im so excited i dont even want that bath i've been dreaming about all day. D: I just want to get this party started!!!!!

p.s i realised a few minuites ago, the feiro penguin tribe people in the feiro game i concepted at college - they dont have to be penguins!!!!!!! they could be people who worship or hunt penguins and have masks and clothing that makes them look like birds!...................can u belive i totaly did not see that before, and now im actually excited about trying to RE-invent the concepts for that game.

Oh man, i want to get messy, messy with sploges of paints, stuck in paper, materials. I want to have one huge messy, overflowing, colourful, side paint leaked pages full book. Totaly grungey and grimey with inspirational colour and chock full of exploration.
oh gawd....... D: *Droooooooooool*

new year, inspiration, hyperness, family
