I'm glad you got to have the high Anglo-Catholic experience today. I really do miss that spirituality from the cathedral in Omaha where there's intentionality in everything. It's an intricate dance that helps pull is into the worship of God.

Today we were without priest, so it was Morning Prayer. Normally my parish is pretty good about such things given the facts of the region (only a handful of priests spread far apart- kinda hard to import a supply priest), but it was definitely out of rhythm today. And without that rhythm, you end up thinking too much about what your next dance move is supposed to be instead of just doing it naturally.

And I barely remember the liturgy of the Word myself sometimes; however, I wonder if maybe it's more important that it gets written on our hearts. We might lose the details, but over time we get the "big picture" imprinted on our souls.

I guess I can see why you love the Anglo-Catholicness so much, but I should mention that I also like getting "down and dirty" by being in the more casual setting too. Jesus laughed with his friends, after all...and he didn't follow all of the customs.
