That's my solution to everything, if that doesn't work try hitting hit. Or maybe you want the opinion of someone who is a little better with computers than me

What does it say when you try?

I can't open them, they're in grey and are un-clickable until i switch the mode from "all readable files" to "all files". When i try to open one with "all files", it can't figure out the dimensions of the picture, so I have to fill them in, and if I don't have it exactly right it won't open.

Under that "enable" menu, is "Compuserve GIF" one of the options? If so, what happens when you try that?
