Although I would agree that it would be best if we had 0 casualties in Iraq, the fact remains that there have been approximately 3,800 troop deaths in Iraq since the war began in March 2003, a span of over 4.5 years. We currently have approximately 140,000 troops there. By comparison, 180,000 people get diagnosed with breast cancer and 40,000 people die from it every year. Just over 40,000 people die from motor vehicle accidents. I'm not trying to make war seem any less dangerous, but you are grossly skewing the facts when you call it "basically a death trap", exactly what the media tries to get you to believe.

I have a lot of respect for and appreciate the sacrifices made by the armed forces of America and wish that I could realistically join them over there. I came very close to doing so earlier this year by nearly accepting an armed forces medical scholarship.

Hey Calvin! How's it going. I didn't know you received a armed forces scholarship. Why didn't you accept it? Would they have made you join the army or something? I'm just curious because I dont' know what it is. Anyway ( ... )
