After 22 years, I thought I was safe. Then WHAM! you decide to waltz in and expect to be treated like family. Candice, My intentions to contact you were certainly not to harrass you or your family members rather out of genuine concern and compassion for you and your mom. You must remember Candice, I am an extended blood relative and your fate was completely out of my control. Your parents are the ones that made a decision I had to live with. Following that the last time I saw you, your nan asked me to leave. I was a teenager. I respected her wish and left and with regret. Your grandparents moved and I couldn't find you. I searched for a very long time and turned up empty handed. A few years ago, I was working on an assignment and through research I found you. I was really over joyed yet nervous to try and contact you. I didn't want to risk losing you again and attempted to write to you. Tell me Candice, given these circumstances what would you have done? Should I have ignored the fact I found you? It wasn't my decision that you or I never got to know one another and if the fact that I reach out to you causes you to think I am crazy or ( ... )
