I have yet to succeed in telling my parents that I'm taking a year off, and I have a sense of impending doom about it. I came back from this awesome camping trip today to find that the shit hath hitteth the fan, as they say. *sigh* I had eight new voicemails when I re-entered the rogers service area, and each one was pretty much the polar opposite

High five for taking a year off! (me too) It's scary, but it'll be ok I think.

I'm totally up for talking, if you'd like. I felt the same way when I told my mom I was taking a year off (with the added bonus of dropping out of my program, too), so I kind of know a little of what you're going through. Hey Katie, there is nothing wrong with taking a year off. I too am taking a year off. We're a regular ol' group now, eh? I hope your parents are understanding at least.

*nodnods* I'm very happy with the decision, now that I've made it. Also, dancing is teh awesome! I hope there's a UofS BDC class on Mondays, because it looks like I might be able to get them off regularly... I just have to work every wednesday.
