1) Its okay and maybe if it doesnt feel right you arent being baby you are being yourself and it ISNT RIGHT FOR YOU. At least not for now. Maybe development work and fieldwork have alot to do with who you do it with and where it is done (I have no idea as I have never done it) but if its anything like my research doing it with people you dont like or worse alone, especially when you are a perfectionist, is never rewarding. You will just set yourself up for hurt
