part i.
Character name: Bruce Wayne.
Fandom: The Dark Knight / Nolanverse Batman.
Species (vampire, werewolf, what have you): Human.
Character powers: None.
part ii.
1.) Is it acceptable for your character to be mind-controlled or persuaded? How susceptible are they to mind control, hypnotism, or suggestion?
It's entirely possible, he's just Some Guy. Unless it's legitimately supernatural and the person doing it is very good at their mind whammy powers, though, he might be able to break out of it, and he's not inherently susceptible to hypnotism or suggestion, owing to being very in control of his own mind.
2.) Is it acceptable for your character to have their mind read? Does this include traumatic memories? What is their mind like (disturbing, orderly, joyful, surprisingly empty, etc.)? If the character has psychic walls or preventative measures against psychic interference, please explain.
It's probably fine, as long as you ask me first so we're on the same page. He has no defenses.
edit: OH RIGHT, so somehow when I first did this, I didn't explain what his mind was like, woops. It's pretty orderly, and alarmingly compartmentalized; not mental illness/DID separated or anything, but imagine if someone's mind was run like a well oiled military machine, split into factions, overseen by something extremely effective and dispassionate, and the dominant faction in there is fucking terrifying. Bruce's psyche has been known to frighten, disturb, and even chase off telepaths and other mental invaders by no effort of his own - the scenery is just that upsetting.
3.) Are thoughts mentioned in narration acceptable for a telepath to pick up?
Probably. Ask me first though.
4.) What about emotions, in the case of an empath? What sort of general emotional reading would such a character receive from yours?
Same as above!
5.) Are there any aspects of your character's mind, emotions, or memories you would like to be picked up, mentioned, or used in character? Conversely, is there anything that should not be noticed, or at least never mentioned?
Not really. Just don't out him as being Batman or even Bruce Wayne without clearing it with me first, as that's something there are ~plans in place~ for further along the road. (I won't put him in a situation where it would be utterly ludicrous for a PC to not notice or something, though, I don't mean to force anyone's character to be spontaneously dumb just to suit my purposes, just don't like, totally jailbreak his cover out of nowhere, haha.)
part iii.
1.) Physically speaking, what stands out about your character? Imposing size? Physical scarring? Tattoos?
He's six feet tall, white, brown hair, brown eyes, kind of plain looking at first glance; he tends to dress conservatively, and often has bruised hands. He has a shocking amount of scars (cuts, burns, gunshots, bites, etc) all over his body, mostly concentrated on his chest and shoulders, under his clothes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Nolanverse Bruce does not look identical to Comics-verse Bruce. Comics!Bruce is 6'3", a good 50lbs heavier, and has black hair and blue eyes. Their facial structure, voice, and body language is uncannily similar, but it is NOT IDENTICAL. Someone close to Comics!Bruce might certainly doubletake, and those familiar with multiple realities might, of course, suspect, but he shouldn't be seen offhand as a doppelganger for Comics-verse Batman.
If someone you've played with has used Christian Bale as a PB for Comics!Bruce, I assume it was just for the ease of the visual cue/media association, because he really doesn't look like that, haha. I'd appreciate it if you erred on the side of not responding as if they're identical even if they used that PB.
2.) Is your character immune to any of the following: poisons, chemical agents, telekinetic influence, radiation, or types of illnesses?
Nothing besides Scarecrow's MK 1 weaponized fear toxin, which he does have the inoculation for both in his bloodstream and in his default gadget kit that he had on him when he arrived.
3.) Is your character physiologically different from a human in any way? This can include their blood, skin, hair, et cetera being made up of something unusual or simply differing in construction and durability.
Nope.
4.) Are you amenable to having your character be harmed in any way? How far are you comfortable with injury to you character going? Does this include being fed on by vampires, willingly or unwillingly?
Ask me first, but in general: go nuts.
5.) Is it acceptable for other characters with abilities of shapeshifting or disguise to imitate your character? Does this include ability mimicry?
Sure.
part iv.
1.) Can your character's presence or aura be noticed by other characters, and how would it look/feel to them? How would it manifest to a character with no supernatural abilities, if at all?
Go for it. He's a normal human.
2.) Can your character be affected by magic spells and curses?
Yep.
3.) Can your character be affected by sin and corruption, and be tempted toward expressing their darker urges (of whatever flavor)?
He's pretty in control of himself in general but, yes, it's possible.
4.) What sort of sins is the character prone toward, and how might they best be tempted, if you are interested in such an event?
Wrath/violence/rage is his big one. He'd hold out, but he could be trapped or pressured into lashing out, especially if he had some kind of excuse or justification to fall back on. Goading him there purely via provocation would be harder, but possible. Lust and gluttony exist, too, but that's less scandalous and more 'Man I want to get laid and eat this entire jar of Nutella and not go to the gym... oh no', so, ymmv.
5.) Are you amenable to the character receiving prophetic visions, including as part of a plot?
Sure!
part v.
1.) Is canon-puncturing or fourth-walling acceptable? We encourage people to tread extremely lightly with allowing their character to learn they are fictional.
No.
... And if you are now going, 'How the fuck do I reconcile my character not recognizing Batman?' well, helpfully: he will never be Batman in game! And he will probably stick to using an alias (Tom) for the foreseeable future. Right now the only person who knows that Tom's real name is Bruce Wayne is Hasibe (and maybe Mabel, if Treyu kept her Taxon/Nexus history, but I'm not sure and she's on hiatus at the time of this writing, so-). If a character in game has known a Nolanverse Bruce before this, he'll just lie about it, haha. That, coupled with the fact that as mentioned above, he does not look identical to Comics!Bruce, should be enough to keep him easily off the 4th wall radar.
2.) Is threadjacking allowed? Under what circumstances?
Go nuts.
3.) Is it acceptable for canonmates that are updated further than yours to inform your character of events yours has not yet experienced?
Yes.
4.) Are there triggering or upsetting topics you would like other characters to avoid mentioning to yours for the sake of continued comfort (racist words, homophobia, self-injury, etc.)?
As long as it's clear that it's an IC situation and not what you think OOC, then anything goes. Don't expect Bruce to react awesomely to any of it, though.
5.) Are there any additions you would like us to make to this survey?
Nope, you got it all.
