Did customer service for a few years. Had multiple "talks" with supervisors about "morale and attitude". LOL

i used to be like the best with customer service and such. but after 8 fucking years, i'm just burned out to a crisp! i'm so over it! part of it is that i talk loud b/c i'm hard of hearing.. so i don't realize the tone or volume of my voice. and many people seem to think it's me being rude. and i can only explain so many times to these fuckers that i can't hear, and that i just happen to talk loud and fast. so.. there ya go. yeah, i've had quite a few talks with my sup about "morale and tone" and such. ugh!

You should start whispering. Seriously. Every call, all day long. Whisper softly into the phone. When they complain they can't hear you, tell them you are speaking at a normal volume and maybe thier phone needs to be adjusted. Then, after they say it has been adjusted, start speaking in a "normal" or even slightly louder tone. Ha. If they complain it's too loud, go back to whispering.
