it's finally done! woohoo!!!! After 14 longggg years, Jeff and I are finally married.

This has definitely been an incredibly long journey getting to this point. And I know that it's just the beginning of an even greater adventure. We have had many many obstacles to overcome along the way, and yes, some of those obstacles were during the wedding planning process.

Tegon got in Thursday afternoon, and after Jeff and I got the marriage license (which was quick and easy and the lady was really really nice), I went up to Mom's to see her and Dad and Teg. We tried getting Tegon into her dress to no avail. Like me, she has gained weight since ordering her dress. Unlike me, she didn't drop 11 pounds 2 weeks before the wedding. So, off to David's Bridal we went in search of a dress in the color we needed and in a size that fit her. We found one. Put it on hold, and she was able to exchange it with the dress she couldn't wear anymore. It wasn't as fancy as the 1st dress but it was pretty. Thursday night was spent working on the programs (which I did allll by myself thank you very much), music, and packing. We got to bed reallyyyy late... like 2am. Got up early Friday and hit the ground running! Got my nails done, got a present for little Morgan, printed the programs, packed the cars, and then we finally we were off to Oxford!

Got the the hotel and unloaded everythinggggg. We didn't think about packing the cars in a way where we could just unload what was needed for the hotel, and what was needed for the rehearsal/reception separately. OOps. We put the gift baskets in each room, and everyone loved them! I wish I had taken a picture of the gift baskets. I was really proud of how they came out. Wine, chips, water, cokes, popcorn, chocolate, nuts, gum, and doggie treats for the dogs that came. ehehhehe They were a big hit!

Then it was off to the college! We looked over the chapel and student center and everything looked to be in order. Unfortunately, the yellow caution tape was still up around the construction.. which kinda made me upset b/c they said it would be down for the wedding. But the brick that they laid in front of the chapel looked awesome! But there was still a lot of dirt everywhere and a lot of construction left to do. And during the rehearsal and all day the day of the wedding, there were workers laying brick and pinestraw in front of the student center. That pissed me off.. it was very distracting.

We had awesome help getting stuff set up for the rehearsal dinner. I really appreciate my friend Russ for helping out, as well as Jeff's friends Bruce and Sonia that helped, even after driving over 8hrs from Florida just to come to our wedding. Those two are sooo cute and nice and sweet. Bruce stood in for Jeff since Vanessa flaked out at the very last minute (3 days before the wedding she said she wasn't coming). He even bought a tux! What a guy! The rehearsal itself was interesting. Some people butted heads, but we eventually got the walk through done. I gave the girls their presents. I had bracelets engraved for each of them, and enamel butterfly bookmarks from Brighton that were sooo pretty! And they each got a cosmetic tote with their first initial on it. I thought they were really cute, hopefully they liked them as well. After dinner we had to clean up and break everything down, and then set up for the reception. We left after 11pm. I went back to the hotel to fold the programs and then take a shower and go to bed. Jeff went out with Bruce and Sonia to Applebees and carried his tired ass in after 1:30.

Teg and I got up reallyyy early Sat morning to get our hair done. After waiting an hour outside the salon, and no one showing up, we rushed back to the hotel and had everyone, including the receptionist trying to find us a salon that could get us in!! We finally found one and she did an awesome job with both of us. yay!

Then it was back to the college to get ready. Unfortunately, since quite a bit of my stuff was in Jeff's car, and he was at the mall getting his dad's tux, and the tux for Bruce, he didn't show up until like noon! So we were reallyyy late getting a start on the pictures. But I had a blast sitting in the room in Seeney Hall talking with Tegon and Brandy and the awesomeness that was our photographer and videographer (Jen and Tiffany respectively). They are super super cool, and I'd love to hang out with them some other time they were that neat! I ran outside to get my stuff when I saw Jeff pullup, and Tegon was yelling at me not to see him. Whatever! We slept in the same bed the night before, and it just seemed silly not to see him. Of course, even after I was dressed I peaked into the room he was getting ready in. After all, we were getting pictures taken together, so he was going to see me anyways. :)

The ceremony was absolutely wonderful.. though I didn't really get to see the beautiful flowers that my Grandmuzzi and Aunt did... doh! I was so nervous and focused on the ceremony I didn't get to see. :( And right before we went in, there were butterflies hovering around my face. It was so awesome! It was like the spirits of those that Jeff and I have lost were there giving me kisses. Made me think of my grandparents and such. I almost started to lose it then. When Jeff got all choked up during his vows, that's when I, and everyone else it seems, really lost it! Eveyrone was crying at that point! And I definitely cried when I read the vows I wrote to him. I think my favorite moment was when Brian (Mandy's husband and the minister that performed the wedding), smiled to the two of us and softly said, "We're almost there guys." It was just so unbelievably sweet and intimate of a moment. I was acting all goofy and giggly from being so nervous. And when he pronounced us and said that Jeff could kiss me, I was like "Finally!!" I think even Mandy squeed!eheheheh

I got to see a lot of people that I haven't seen in suchhhh a long time, including my first step father. I burst into tears when he walked through the door before the ceremony. It was so wonderful to see him again. And I got to see my aunt, uncle and cousin who I hardly ever get to see. People kept confusing my uncle for my dad (who didn't come yet again because he had to work at the dump...like trash can't wait a day so you can see your first born get married). And getting to see my friends and the rest of my family was so special. I lovedddd the "hip table". :) Kristi made a drawing of her and her boyfriend, and of Chris and Alisa and wrote down all the topics they the table talked about. It was so awesome! And the spiffyness that is Nick drew Jeff and I in weasel form! Woot!!! I don't know whether to put it in the scrapbook or hang it up on the wall! I love that I have such creative friends. Definitely squee!

Jeff and I are kinda wishing we hadn't cut the cake so early, because we think that's why everyone left so early. I guess people stick around longer if the cake isn't cut yet... We wanted people to really have fun, and I thikn they did..but everyone seemed to leave so early. After everyone did leave, he and I got the photographer and videographers to go tromping through the woods with us behind the chapel. There's a confederate cemetary back there, and we had pictures taken there, and by some awesome trees, and I can't waitttt to see how they all come out! It's going to be fabulous! They and Jeff were amazed and laughing at me for tromping around in the mud with my wedding dress on. Hell, I was wanting to climb into the tree by the library! But alas, I didn't. I think I want to go back up to the college at some point and do another photoshoot up there. It so pretty and meaningful to us.

It took forever to break everything down, but again,we had some awesome people helping out. Then it was back to the hotel to freaking relax! We ended up at the pool eating leftover food and the cake, and drinking and swimming and having awesome conversations. It was the perfect way to end the day.

And of course there's the awesome honeymoon night nookie. But I won't bore you with those details..ehhehe.. not that it was boring in the slightest! ;)

So there ya go. Two days for a honeymoon and I'm back to work! I can't believe it's already been almost a week since we were married.

I'll put up pictures soon I promise.

I just want to say thank you to everyone.

Much love to all!!!
