I ordered my wedding invite stamps online. The site said they were in stock and would ship out priority mail the next business day, which would mean that I would have them in 3-5 business days. That's unexpected. Kind'a like driving out to get gas, I didn't know you could mail-order stamps! Special selection?

I've shipped a lot of things with the delivery tracking option for my e-bay sales. The service itself just doesn't update in a very intuitive manner--it's sure not like UPS or FedEx tracking as it doesn't seem to reliably get scanned during sorting. It DOES get scanned at delivery...which never really helped me--and doesn't sound like it's going to help you either.

And, calling them is always a real time consuming cock-up. I wouldn't worry yet. But I would start scoping out replacement stamp options at the local PO...
