I am posting an incredibly rare post. Here i am sitting in New York waiting to go to the airport and board a plane to israel where i will be at least untill i come back to visit on DEC. 25. and i am dying. i should be overwhelmingly excited for this opportunity but i feel like i cant even find one thing to be excited about as hard as i try. just know that you aren't the only person who felt like this...and know that it will get better (haha like that helps). but for me, what did help is talking to my mom. not necessarily about anything in general, just checking in. it kind of gave a sense of stability and normalness that i could look forward to. so if you have a family plan or something, i suggest giving that a try. and good luck in israel!

First off, I love you.

Jody, I know you are scared. I understand. I felt the same way when I went to college. It's scary. You're going to be home in a little over three months. Simly the length of a summer and I know you have been away from home for close to that long.

You WILL make friends on your trip. It's going to be an AMAZING experience and your love will extend even further. Don't worry.

You enjoyed it the first time and you'll enjoy it now! You're going for a reason! You're just worried about being away from home for so long, etc. But this is your adventure and you've been looking forward to it forever!
