I need a cheap, CHEAP car. I wasn't one of those spoiled kids in high school. Now it's coming time where I need to move on with my life and get a car. Does anyone know where I can get a CHEAP used car? Anyone know of a repo car auction anywhere??! Help. Thanks.

a brand new honda with all that crap included is 11k. a car depreciates in value 1.2k per 1.2kmiles you put on it. so i am correct you dumb bitch, and it shouldnt have been more than 5, even though it is an LX which really means shit. you could have bought a brand new regular honda civic in perfect condition for what you paid for it.

i just got a '98 saturn with 73,000 miles on it and it's in awesome condition. it was in the $4,000 range. for anything that you don't want to put work into i think that's gonna be the bare minimum. check at vehix.com and also look at all the dealerships around here; i got mine at saturn of schaumburg.

i would scan the newspapers.. altho as jena said, cheap= cheap car.. i got a 2001 camry for 6k (or maybe 8k.. i am one of those damn spoiled kids so my parents paid) and it only had 43,000 miles on it but while it looks nice i constantly have issues with it.. the previous owner def lied.
on the other hand my first car was our family car.. bought for 6k at a cop auction and it was amazing.. we sold it 15 years later for 1k. quite a bargain.
i dont know what the point of all that was. be careful i guess.. cheap means you might luck out or might get screwed over. do your reseach when looking at a car and it'll be fine.
as for where to look for one i ditto jena's list of websites and include online newspaper ads.. when i sold, i sold thru the daily herald personals as well as a few other sites.
