That whole first paragraph of yours? Exactly why I update so infrequently. What's your AIM account? I'm trying to get into more regular contact with people I think are cool, and since you went and mentioned it anyway...

And dude, your brother is so in the wrong there. Buffy is a show that was ALL ABOUT the allegories and the metaphors and the layers of text and subtext. If you see something in a Joss show and go 'hmm, that seems like an allusion to this real life thing', it's practically a given that someone's done their thesis on it.

Seriously, there's a Buffy class at my college about all that crap. Plus, the character was talking about Tara, and they said "Who wants to live with a disgusting demon?" And I said, "Yeah, who wants to live with a disgusting lesbi-I mean demon. Yeah." And then he yelled at me :P
