Heeee, yay! Thank yooooou! It's totally your fault, too, because SKITTLES. Except I was going crazy trying not to use the word "candy" at any point because dropping a portmanteau into a story makes me NUTS, and when the whole damn story is about Skittles, um, ARGH.

I don't know, do you think there's enough interest in this particular crackpairing? We need to ask dollsome and them. Hrm.

And even if there's not fantastical loads, well -- we'll have cool hang-out spot where we can throw skittles at one another.

AND DRINK SNAPPLE. You have a good point; if there was one spot to gather 'em all the links together, it would help a lot. Heh, heh, LJ comms are the rec page of the new millenium.

And of COURSE I use Kandy. Kelly and Andy is such an effortlessly cute and fluffy combination that it actually fits, which is more than I can say for a lot of portmanteaux (and lord, I only know that word because of the rants against it). It is the totally PG-13-at-most Disneyesque fluffy pairing, and a very nice thing use to offset a few months spent writing WL. Love 'em.

I think I figured out what is making this series so damned addictive. It's the Andy. You have somehow captured the wacky magic of Mr. Bernard (at your service), to the point of him calling Jim 'Tuna' even in his mind.

Favorite parts:

Apparently even wall-punching freakboys can be right once in a while.

And he's right back to being all bouncy and that particular brand of weird that's normal for him.

"The whole imitating thing only works on Michael. Everyone else just thinks you're being a dope."

And now I realize those are (sort-of) in Kelly's POV, describing Andy, so I guess it is all about the Kandy, everyone's favorite fanon pairing. Or at least mine.

And I would totally watch an omgkandy community. In case you were wondering.

Aww, thanks! I love Andy much more than is probably good for me, because he tries so hard to do ALL THE WRONG THINGS. Somehow, it becomes even more fun with Kelly, whom I also love, and who has ten times more confidence than he does. ::bounce:: KANDY!

I love this - Kelly/Andy is one of fandom's best inventions. I really like that you kept Andy's angry outcast side in but still managed to make them cute and happy.

This, too - and by "people", she means "Ryan" - right in the middle of a Kelly run-on cracked me up.

Yay, thanks! Yeah, Kelly can handle him when he's like that. One of the things that make a great couple, I think, is that things about one of them that can keep everyone else at a distance, the other one can handle, no problem. Kelly has no problem handling Andy's little forays into sulkiness, and Andy has no problem with Kelly being such a forward little buttinski. Awwww.

Hahaha. I still turn to Jim and Pam for all my angst needs, but I'm in a mood for cute fluffy fun these days and Kandy is all about cute fluffy fun. WHEE!

. . . ahem.

I am capable of a coherent response, I swear. I just . . . had to let out what I was feeling.

But oh my God, this is perfect and adorable and Kandy. I love how you handled both of their characters -- I love Andy sorting his Skittles (bigger flavor! Such Andy logic), and him making Kelly laugh like crazy with "wellllllllll" was just about the sweetest thing in the world. I really, really love the bit about her making him own up to what type of Skittles he liked, too -- that's such a true, interesting, completely pathetic aspect of Andy's character, and of course Kelly, who is so unapologetically herself first and foremost, would call him on it. Which is sort of part of what makes them THE GREATEST AND BEST PAIRING IN THE WORLD.

And this was just . . . it brought me so much joy. You need to write more Kandy, like, immediately, okay? Okay. Good.

(And, haha, I just have to commend you on the way you worked in "a word that rhymes with chat." Win win win!)

HAHAHAHA, I know, I actually Googled "rhymes with chat" because I couldn't think of anything, and "bat" came up first, and I was like, "..." trying to figure out why the hell I hadn't thought of that on my own. GOOGLE OWNZ. And the "wellll" thing just happened on its own, because the fourth time I wrote a sentence starting with "well" I thought, "that's awful, I need to fix that," and then I thought, "OH, NO, LEAVE IT IN, IT WORKS!" I love improv!fic; it always brings such awesome serendipty to my life ( ... )
