Really I'm not a huge fan-fiction reader. But I like your view on his parents and the Holmes family dynamic. I was serious in the "post more" request even if it was worded flippantly.

I really like the relationship between Sherlck and his mother. She cares so much and understands him so very good. Although she's so "ordinary".

I was hoping a lot of new fanfics would pop up after the new episode and I'm glad I found yours as ones of the first. :-)

And - just as a side note - I like your layout, too. It's very pretty!

Hello! I'm glad you liked it! *grins* the plot bunnies at my brain! I hoped I'd get my foot in that door because I swear, once other people's headcanons start popping up, it becomes impossible to think of anything original, or post it. Thanks for commenting! And thanks for the note about the layout! I liked it loads - haven't changed it in ages! :D

"She also knew why John was excited, because both Sherlock and Mycroft tended to give the impression that they’d been created in labs, or else that they’d sprung from the earth, full-formed. Or that they were aliens."

*grin*

Oh that was a lovely tale - I was very impressed by the idea of Mrs Holmes being "the British government" before Mycroft took over; what a great idea!

And the little tip to Mrs Hudson at the end - that was brilliant!

Please, please will you forgive me if I just point out a couple of tiny errors? Please don't be offended . . .

In the paragraph that begins "There's another long moment of silence", I think that Sherlock had always understood Mummy better than Sherlock; should be ...understood Mummy better than Mycroft ?

Just after the paragraph beginning " 'I didn't ask for this', he said quietly", I think the response “I know you did, baby. No one ever does.” should be I know you didn't ...?

But otherwise, I loved it all!

Oh my goodness, NEVER BE SORRY FOR CONCRIT! I don't hate you at all! As a matter of fact, I appreciate that you took the time and effort - I really do!

I'm sorry for the late response but I wanted to be on my computer to respond and it took a while for me to get time.

You've a sharp eye! I'll get those fixed asap!

I'm really glad you liked it otherwise :) thank you for taking the time to let me know! *hugs*

Oh good - one never knows how people will take it; but like you I share the view that it's good to be told, so the correction can be made! :)

Yes, it was a lovely tale, and I really did enjoy this point of view.
