Dear Literacy Test,

The next time you force a bunch of teenagers into a room first thing in the morning, pile stress on them, and then force them to write for four hours on absolutely nothing with only a 15 minute break, please remember one important thing.

These teenagers are the ones that are going to be taking care of you when you are older ( Read more... )

Four hours? That's insane! Ok, maybe this is just me being ignorant, but if you're in school, where you have to do such things as reading and writing, shouldn't someone, oh I don't know, be able to tell that you're literate?

It's my opinion that test-maker people have some serious issues that they should deal with.

Exactly why I don't understand it! xD

One of those 'wtf' moments provided by the Ontario government.

Ah yes, fun with Ontario's government. I'm glad I didn't have to take them.

That rant was hilarious but you seem really uninformed. so hear are a bunch of facts that will make you go OMG:
-last year 50% of the total people who wook the test failed
-this year was the first year that the full test was done in one day(last year it was 2 days)
-the literacy test is one of the requirements for graduating(acctually you probobly already knew that)

sorry for sounding so anti-what you just said but yeah. There are many people who don't write with punctuality and the test is their to screw them over.(^.^)

Did you have to stay in school after the test was over or did they let you go. At my school we were supposed to stay but basicly 90% of the people who took teh test left.
