Reading your notes after viewing, I did get a sense of an "Oedipal interpretation" in your vid especially with the song you chose and the scenes you chose to focus on. For a source that seems relatively static, I liked how you emphasized motion with the speed ramping and zooms. Very nifty! Also, there's something even creepier about watching this vid late at night when I can't fall asleep. *g*

Ooh, have you considered posting this to a comm like tennant_love?

Thank you! I'm glad a sense of the reading came through.

The source was a static bitch to edit. Happy that the motion stuff worked for you! :) And thanks for the link; I was thinking I ought to pimp it to some sort of Tennant comm but didn't really know where to go.

Thank you, I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I love his version of Hamlet - so mercurial and physical.

Superbly done! I love Hamlet so much, and David's performance was fantastic. Excellent song choice, and the editing was very poignant and professionally done. Great job! ♥

Thank you so much! I'm so pleased that you liked it. I share your love of Hamlet (for all that's wrong with him) and of course lovely David Tennant, and am super glad to find like-minded people. :)

Heee, thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear that it warranted a download because I'm really bashing my head repeatedly against the wall over how crap that streaming link is. I'm so happy that you enjoyed it!

Amazing! I loved this production of Hamlet and you did a great job capturing the mania and edginess of it. The slowing down/speeding up of scenes is so well down and looks great. Liked how you enhanced old Hamlet's ghostliness. Really good stock footage there too. I loved how you edited together the scenes of Hamlet's murderous rage and his relationship with his mother. I don't really go for the Oedipal interpretation. To me the scene in Gertrude's room was more about the broken mother/son relationship coupled with young Hamlet's squick at the idea of his mother and Claudius being sexual. I love that scene, it strikes me as so modern dramatically, it astounds me that Shakespeare wrote that complicated relationship centuries ago.
Incidentally, are you planning to do a Doctor Who fanvid soon? 'OMG!' was so brilliant, I'd love to see more.

Thank you! This version is definitely very manic and edgy and I'm super happy that you thought the vid captured that as well.

Haha, unfortunately my mind tends to dark places in interpretation where there is one to be had. I don't think it says anything about canon as much as it does about where my head's at. ;)

I keep wondering if I could do an epic Ianto/Jack/Ten/Master vid, but keep putting it off because it's too daunting. So no concrete DW vid plans just yet. I did make a Ten vid a few years ago if you haven't seen it yet and are keen to check it out.
