It takes a while to get used to them not being there anymore *keeps hugging you* I know when I hat Mutt, Mutt or Indy put down assides from feeling like an utter shit for having to make the decision I missed him so much.
It'll come easier with time, love but for now all you can do is miss him and let time takes it's course and remember him for what he was. *still hugging you*
In a way, it was also my decision to have Watson put to sleep. My parents looked at me when the vet asked if we wanted to wait another week and do some blood tests, but I just shook my head.
It's just so strange, because my first proper memory is getting Watson. I was soooo young when we got him... which means he was so old. His body gave up on him. It's as simple as that. His body was too old. He was still a puppy at heart.
