Sounds a strange experience for you. I've been having mammograms for several years as I have a lot of family history regarding breast cancer. Clinics here all seem very jolly and open, people sit around chatting comparing notes, the operators (what would the technical term be?) have always been very kind - my problem is trying not to giggle as I stand on tip-toe with one breast between the plates, my arm cuddling the machine and my bum stuck out. its the way the technician carries on a normal conversation about the weather or the traffic. Having a breast ultrasound by a weird guy with a wispy beard is even more bizarre.
