So I am playing Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep!
I'm not terribly far into it just yet; I only started two days ago. I find myself really liking Aqua, despite the fact that I haven't seen terribly much of her yet. Still, of the three, she seems to have her head set firmly on her shoulders. (Watch her side of the story prove me wrong, haha.) Ventus... I don't know how I feel about him. Was the fact that he looks so much like Roxas supposed to make us like him more? If so, I think it kind of backfired, at least in my case. It's kind of... unnerving, and I'm keeping emotional distance from the character just in case he's killed off at any second. Anyway, at the part where we get to choose whose story to play, I chose Terra "he fights most with brute force!" and since I've been playing Tank Kitty fairly often of Perfect World, I was like, 'hell, let's go with that'. Terra.... oh, Terra. You make me feel like Blackarachnia: "You know I like them big and stupid, but you're really pushing it." That's Terra in a nutshell.
'The shady Master who asked to talk in the sealed-off Forbidden Lands and who had already self-admitted to shady dealings is very clearly the only one I can trust! Confiding in my Master whom I have presumably been training under for years, or my close friends (even the one who hasn't been observing me under orders), why on earth would I want to do that?' ....It makes me want to thump him on the head a few times.
In a way, I'm glad I started off with him first; I still haven't gotten the game board thing down, so I've been leveling up my abilities and skill with... well, brute force. I don't really feel that doing so has hindered me in any significant way. XD
Anyway, the combat system is basically the KH2 system, which suits me. I do really wish they'd have fixed the lock-on. You're supposed to hit both L and R top buttons at the same time to lock on, but it's also do the multiple enemy targeting system thing, and will end the lock on in under 3 seconds. It's really annoying!
Anyway, I'm only at level 14 and in Radiant Garden, so I'm sure I'll have more to post once I get farther in the game.
