I'm on a quest for the perfect way to combine Medjool dates and bourbon, two of my very favorite things. Attempt #1 was a basic infusion. The end result was very tasty, however the texture left much to be desired. The dates get mushy in the bourbon real quick. All I can think of is to freeze it into some kind of sherbet, but then that's not too different than just eating it by the spoonful. Everything else would involve cooking it and losing the booze.

Mmmm, taste experimentation. I love the idea of this delicious slurry in the bottom of a drink!
