Transformational Reiki I & II

Jun 29, 2011 16:38

Friday, June 24 2011 to Monday, June 27 2011 I took Transformational Reiki I & II at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA). This is my first real exposure to Reiki aside from the books I have read and what I have heard. This was such an incredible experience that I have decided to keep a journal through my experiences with this.

Wow, sounds like an amazing experience! I've always wondered what those classes were like. I went to a clinic at SWIHA 7 or 8 years ago and got much more out of it than I initially expected going in. Now that I'm thinking of it, I should probably look into going back to the clinic to facilitate my current healing process.

It was like nothing else I've ever experienced. I would be happy to give you Reiki if it would be helpful to you. I've completed the Swedish massage protocols, but I don't find those to be very therapeutic. I'm starting Myotherapy and Cranial Unwinding next, right now I'm just finishing up Anatomy. So many amazing things to learn... aieee it's so exciting! :D :D

Question anonymous September 20 2011, 23:02:01 UTC
"As a Reiki practitioner, you are a vessel, a channel, for Rei (universal) Ki (life force); thus, there is no "right" or "wrong" way to do it."

Does that mean everyone is a practitioner?

In a manner of speaking. We all have Reiki, but it is not always active. We become clearer channels by holding space well, being mentally present, separating from expectation, and being attuned energetically.
