OK, 1) It was a miniseries that is why it was so long and 2) it actually followed the original story. Whereas Kubrick's mainly was him going off on his own trip and ideas. It was amazing, as you said, but practically a completely different story.
But you obviously have amazing taste in music so I will forgive you :P
Yeah I found out it was a miniseries later on, but it just really wasn't enjoyable to me. At all. It felt like a waste of several hours of my life. And I know it followed the original story better, but sometimes every aspect of stories just don't translate well to film, and IMO was one of those cases.
Right. So I need to see Ring Of Darkness, like, now.
I loved Ten Inch Hero but I hated the ending. It's like "Hey, everyone's great just the way they are... except the punk guy, he's not. Let's change him. Yay, now everyone's great!", ruined it for me.
LOL yeah pretty much why I hated it, right there. And just, it was the cheesiest thing that ever happened. Everyone hooks up with someone! They get married naked on horseback on the beach! IDK there was a fandom secret back in the day that pretty much summed up my hatred of the ending, but I can't remember what it said, haha.
