[Written in fine, curvy handwriting, a good sized title appears near the top of the page:]

The Creation and Settling of Luceti

[The writing continues on, smaller and more legible this time:]

Hundreds of years prior to this date, the land of Luceti was completely desolate. Nary a soul was in sight -- not a human, humanoid being, or even a more common animal one would come across in the woods. The area was still as lush and green as it is today -- trees were tall and vibrant, rivers still bubbled along as they always have -- but with no life within it, it might as well have been nothing more than a collection of sand sculptures. The river did, however, contain a small collection of minnows, but they were hardly noteworthy enough at the time.

However, there was one speck of hope when it came to the beginning of land-based life upon this lonely land.

A parasite, unseen to the naked eye, had been cultivated within the very leaves of Luceti's trees, turning quite a few of them brown. This caused them to drop off their branches, just as they would during the cooler Fall season, and into the nearby river. From then on, the parasites were washed away by the water, forcing it to adapt to its new environment -- or be swept out of existence.

While a large amount of this parasite faded away, some managed to live on! These parasites attached themselves to the minnows of the lakes and rivers, slowly but surely affecting their minds and bodies. Soon enough, it caused enough of an affect that the minnows began to mutate, becoming horrible, six-foot-tall fish-monsters. These monsters grew too large for the lakes and rivers, and with more adaptability granted to them by the forest parasites, eventually were able to leave the rivers and walk upon the lands.

With time, these monsters grew more and more intelligent -- quickly moving from caveman-esque behaviors and mannerisms to having sauve, technosavvy approaches to things. They created towns, villages, and various other settlements across the world, building more and more and furthering their race's evolution.

Eventually they grew to believe themselves to be quite superior to all other races, both foreign and domestic. They began to enslave them, trapping them inside pre-made settlements and watching over them like scientists would their lab mice. But that wasn't enough! They soon grew bored of only enslaving beings from their world, and began to use their technology to draw in more and more -- humans, humanoids, and animals of all kinds -- all for the sake of pleasurably watching over such inferior races.

We call these strange beings the Malnosso.

[Here, the writing stops momentarily -- a long line is drawn underneath the last sentence, as if to separate what was said from what was about to be said. Then--]

What do you think, everyone?
