[Well now, it has been some time since Alexei heard that woman's voice. Whatever he felt during that week was left forgotten to Alexei...all that remain was the thought that Takano may have some use to him after he carelessly shared his view on certain topics...he also wasn't exactly confident the woman will keep her mouth shut. Naturally, he may as well try and check on her situation after hearing she was taken, like the concerned citizen that he is.]

For them to cause such a reaction from someone like you...I should inform you, Takano that yelling at them at this point is meaningless. You should be more concern about your own condition right now.

[He doesn't suspect anything odd just yet, simply assuming the Malnosso just didn't treat her "kindly".]

Alexei ... [The tone behind it is a little ... odd. Not calm, not completely fearful -- some sort of unsure middle ground, leaning closer to fearful. Not that that's any fault of his.] ... Why should I bother to concern myself with that? They'll just take me again some day, won't they? They'll just play around with me again some day, won't they?

[She makes an aggressive, annoyed gesture, not that the journal can really pick that up. The camera's pointing straight up at the sky, after all.]

Why should I care about some scratches when we have greater things to focus on?!

[She starts scratching her neck absent-mindedly after saying that, likely not even noticing that she's doing so.]

I can't deny that they might. [This was certainly a side of Takano he has never heard to say the least.]

But do you really believe thinking like that will help improve your situation? We are at a disadvantage regardless, so I suggest you focus on what you can do now. Leaving your injuries unattended to could cause more trouble for you and possibly hinder you from focusing on the more important things.

Maybe ... I'd only end up attracting "healers" and their "magic" if I left myself like this, wouldn't I? [There's sarcasm in those two words, but that sarcasm sounds more nasty than playful.] But doing so doesn't fix anything. It still won't save me from them, in the end. It still won't get me back where I need to be!

[Despite her remarks, Alexei didn't falter. No, he's more or less intrigue to see Takano in this...almost panicked state. She kept a convincing strong front this entire time and now this was proving that she's not as stable as she had made herself.]

Yes. Panicking only increases your chances of making a mistake. You cannot have your emotions cloud your judgment. You should know this considering your profession.
