Can Kid see the soul: Hells yes
Any specific traits he would be able to note? That he's got some sort of extrasensory abilities of his own (nothing too specific unless Kid squints just the general spookity powers). Kid would be able to tell he's generally a happy person, and for the most part it would also be easy to tell if he was lying about something.

BONUS! Soul Description Lucas's soul would be a very pale blue color, bubble-shaped, with little bubble-shaped tufts of whatever it is souls are made of coming off the top of his little soul head. Also :D face, moves around by bouncing. Mostly.

He might also be able to pick up on the fact he's got a power, though maybe not specific. Stubborn. Despite his flaws, he's a good guy.
